INS President Venkatarami Reddy injured in cracker burst
Hyderabad, Oct 17 : Indian newspaper Society (INS) and Chairman of the Deccan Chronicle Tikkavarapu Venkatarami Reddy was hospitalised tonight with burnt injuries from cracker burst while celebrating Diwali at his Banjara Hills residence.
Mr Reddy was under observation at the Appolo Haelth City and doctors, who attended to him, indicated that he would be in the hospital at least till tomorrow and his condition was stable.
The incident occured at his residence on road number 12, Banjara Hills when Mr reddy along with his family members were bursting crackers on the occasion of Diwali.
Mr Reddy sustained burnt injuries on his hand, face and leg.
and was rush to the Corporate hospital at Jubilee Hills.
Telugu Desam MP (Rajya Sabha Member) M V Mysura Reddy, a close friend and confidente who rushed to the hospital along with his family members, told mediapersons after seeing him at the hospital that ''there is no need for anxiety (about the condition of Mr Venkatarami Reddy)''.
Mr Vekatrami Reddy heads Deccan Chronicle Holdings Ltd which publishes a wide spectrum of media, including Deccan Chronicle, one of the largest english circulated daily in the country.
He also owns the Deccan Chargers, the IPL Champion Cricket team.
